Not worth it for the average consumer as you’ll run into too many issues. Basically a beta for things to come in consumer releases of Safari. I never ran into an issue, I've been using the technology preview release since it was introduced, and am not developer.
The first one is the way it reloads pages, especially forums, when swiping back. Often delays for a second or two then reloads and the forum list jumps around. Irritating, but if that was the only issue I might switch back. The second one is cookie management. I have an Applescript which opens Safari (Tech Preview), goes into the menu and deletes all cookies, and I use this to start Safari.
I understood the very point of an AAC/.m4a was to be a smaller sized file of an equivilent.mp3 while keeping a similar quality. I know large artwork affects the file size, but this still happens regardless of artwork.

So I need to update it, unfortunately I am on a 6 year old macbook, yes I know that is antique when it comes to tech stuff. And when I took it to the Apple store when it broke (for the first time in all those years!) the guy working there advised against updating the OS because it would make my computer EVEN slower. So my question is, how can I update JUST the safari browser?

Meanwhile I'm lucky I have a MacBook Pro as well, and am able to get online while I am completely restoring Lion from a patchstick. I'll post the crash report (I copied and saved it) once I get back up.Incidentally, I've been getting a lot of crashes in Mail as well. Always when the computer is asleep. Anyone else having these problems - or have a solution?

The Settings icon opens an extensive menu that includes private browsing, pop-up blocking, Extensions, and customization buttons. One feature we really like is the Page icon that displays a menu just for the current page. The Bookmarks bar holds icons to show the Reading List, Top Sites, and All Bookmarks. Clicking Preferences under Settings opens a tabbed dialog with many more options, including Appearance, Tabs, Security, Privacy, Extensions, and RSS.
