GENUINE APPLE 2010 2012 MAC PRO ATI RADEON HD 5770 1GB PCI VIDEO CARD 661-5718. For amazing graphics processing power, the ATI Radeon HD 5870 with 1GB of GDDR5 memory is an ideal choice for visual creative, scientific, and technical applications. ATI Radeon HD 5870 includes three video ports: two Mini DisplayPorts and one dual-link DVI port. This allows you to connect the 24.

It has very good variety of video ports, two dual link DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort, and the Radeon HD 5770 is much faster than: NVIDIA GeForce GT 120, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT, ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT, ATI Radeon X1900 XT Apple Boot Screen with VGA monitor: This video card will show the boot screen trough the bottom DVI port connected to analog VGA monitor. DVI to VGA Adapter is included. DVI ports for direct connection to digital monitor will not show gray Boot Screen and it will stay black until the login screen or desktop.Ports: 2 x Dual link DVI, 1 x HDMI, 1 x DisplayPort The DisplayPort is supported in Mac OS X 10.7 and newer. DisplayPort requires native DisplayPort monitor, ACTIVE DisplayPort to DVI or HDMI adapter or DisplayPort to VGA adapter. With Mac OS X 10.7 and newer this video card will support 3 monitors connected to: 2 DVI Ports and DisplayPort.

Then Saved the original Rom from the card and then back into OSX - using the 7300GT again. I tried flashing using Rominators m57702.ROM but no success - subsystem error using ati_winflash, so Next step was to follow +Boz and alter the saved original: But only doing points 15 to 24 in the to do list (since I wasn't doing it the DOS way). With my newly altered ROM I rebooted back into Win7 using the XFX and using ati_winflash Programmed (flashed) the altered Rom - rebooted and wazzam. Since I have a VGA monitor the boot screen shows up when holding the alt key to choose Snow Leopard - it won't show on the DVI Apple 23'. Works great in OSX and Win7 - much snappier than the XT1900!

You can see how clean it is — I even blew the dust out just for you! Check my feedback and bid with confidence! Condition: Used, Condition: Near-new condition.

Thanks for your time and help on this Ed. Hi, folks, I also have the Mac pro 1,1 bought in 2007. Seems the second video card that I install in this machine has just failed.

The graphics card is one thing I’m planning to upgrade next, but trying to find the best value. Some PC ones I’ve heard work, just without the apple boot screen (no big deal to me) within the Geforce 600 and 700 GT and GTX sereis. I’ve seen 2GB ones within the $120-$150 range and I’m probably going to go that route as long as its compatible. But you also have a Yiynova MSPU19 and a Dell 24″ for better color yes?

The HD 5830 was well behind the HD 5850, though, with the more expensive card scoring just below 50fps in our Crysis test, a major step up in performance. Our 3D Mark Vantage card is a good test of the theoretical capabilities of the card, and here a strong score of 7,632 showed its architectural similarities to the HD 5850. In terms of design it's practically identical to the HD 5850. It's a big card, measuring 270mm in length and taking up two card slots in your PC. Like its bigger siblings it has two PCI-Express 6-pin power inputs, and its faster clock speed means it can draw up to 175W at maximum load, so you'll need a fairly hefty power supply to feed it. There's every output you're likely to need on the rear. Two DVI ports are accompanied by HDMI and DisplayPort.

With Mac OS X 10.7 and newer this video card will support 3 monitors connected thru: 2 DVI Ports andDisplayPort. DisplayPort to VGA adapter is included. ATI XFX RADEON HD 5770 Model No.: HD-577A-ZN Part No.: HD-577A-ZNEC My XT1900 bit the dust (screen just went black - overclocking it to max in the ATI control panel might not have helped;-) so I bought a PC HD 5770 from amazon saving £108 over apples. I tried to make a FAT drive but kept getting invalid disk reports - and ran out of CDs. Since I had Win7 on bootcamp I downloaded ati_winflash_2.0.1.14 I found I had to uninstall the legacy ATI drivers to get Win7 to recognise the new card - luckily I still had the original 7300GT and had to run that alone before putting in the new drive, instal the new drivers from the CD and then plugging the monitors into the XFX which worked fine when rebooted in Win7. You'll need a 6 pin powercable - I used the one from my XT1900. Had to right click ati_winflash and run as administrator to get it running.

With the Apple drivers it will (aero interface, etc.). I will attach the modified and original rom as soon as I can login at home.

Getting the Mac edition allows me to see the Mac boot sequence which is a huge bonus for upgrading components or future OS upgrades. Worked perfectly upon install no drivers required in high sierra. I would recommend this item to a friend!

I upgraded from an ATI Radeon HD 4870 (Mac Version) which already had the power cables. I’d like to buy a new set of cables to use the 4870 in another macpro. Can somebody tell me where can I find them? Test DVI ports Greetings and Netkas, you are the BEST!!!! Successfully flashed a Sapphire 5870 Vapor-X.

This card has triple the VRAM and the performance improvement is obvious. Renders video much more quickly. No drivers required. It took longer to uninstall the NVIDIA drivers for the old card than it did to install this new one. A bit pricey, but worth it for my work. I would recommend this item to a friend!

Its 256-bit bus matches that of the HD 5850, but surprisingly its 800MHz clock speed is quicker than that card's 725MHz. Its performance was largely in line with its specifications, and it won't disappoint most gamers. At a resolution of 1,680x1,050 and with 4x anti-aliasing enabled, this card tore through our Call of Duty 4 benchmark at 75.5fps. In our far more challenging Crysis test, at the same tough settings, it managed a very respectable 38.0fps. It's certainly a quick card then, but than sitting squarely between the HD 5850 and 5770, it's noticeably closer to the cheaper 5770. We re-tested this card with the latest drivers, and got 34.4fps in our Crysis benchmark – its slower admittedly, but then you're saving around £60 with a HD 5770.

The drivers on the CD* are not needed because Mac OS 10.13 has integrated the drivers for the graphic card. Next step upgrade to OS 10.14. I would recommend this item to a friend! This review is from.

The HD 7950 Mac Edition is based on AMD's GCN architecture, delivering a significant graphics performance boost for Mac Pro users in a wide range of applications including gaming, video editing and content creation. Graphics intensive benchmarks improve by as much as 300% compared with the NV 8800GT commonly used in these machines. The HD 7950 Mac Edition is compatible with Apple Mac Pro models from 2009 and later with an available PCI-Express x16 slot, as well as the latest PC architectures.

You can use ATI's Eyefinity feature to run three monitors simultaneously using this card – either for gaming purposes or to give you a massive desktop. However, one of those monitors must support DisplayPort, and such models are still rare.

It has minor nicks and scratches on the heatsink cover. This video card has been fully tested and works perfectly it is 100% compatible with all Mac Pro models from 1,1 to 5,1. This card is very stable, runs smoothly and cool. It will run all the Apple applications, including Final Cut Pro. Supports OpenGL 4.1 and OpenCL 1.2 in Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9 and newer.I offer 30 days money back guarantee. This is a great video card to upgrade your Mac Pro.

Or until now how can I watch the boot screen? I live in South Korea because of poor English language skills do not. I hope you can understand. ^ ^ Thank you.

Verified Buyer Reviewer: ScottP Location: Seattle WA Age: 45-54 Experience Level: Power User Owned Product: 1-3 months Rating: 4/5 Good, with caveats July 27, 2017 The card is fast, too fast for in fact for Yosemite. You'll experience lags in streaming and other apps like Photoshop. Sierra has the appropriate drivers to make it work, so if you haven't already upgraded, you'll need to.

HDMI port is supported but cannot be use in 3 displays configurations. HDMI port supports video signal only. For single or dual monitor setup all ports are supported. Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 The DisplayPort in not supported in Snow Leopard.

In my mind, the benefits outweighed the drawbacks, with one caveat: difficulty. About a year ago, I tried flashing a PC Radeon card (, to be precise) as part of a DIY challenge, but failed.

The seemingly endless deluge of 5000-series cards from ATI have till now gone completely unopposed. Nvidia has finally got round to launching its much anticipated Fermi cards (see page XXX), but to date there are only high-end models, which still leaves ATI without any competition for its mid-range cards.

-Krishna Krishna January 26, 2014,,,,. LWWZ December 1, 2014 at 2:37 pm Krishna, I’m in the same boat with my 2008 MacPro “Cheese Grater”. I’ve loved this machine for many years and before finding your site had upgraded to SSDs, 32GB of RAM and a USB3 card. After the Yosemite upgrade, the video performance was abysmal! I enabled the “Reduce Transparency” in the Accessibility options which helped some but started looking for GPU upgrades as well. After digging for a couple of hours I’ve come to realize that you currently have the ONLY single slot Radeon HD5770 card I’ve ever seen!:) Every other card out there is dual slot. In addition to the one I picked up off eBay for $109 w/free shipping.
