As for Froggie's 'almost an OS all by itself' comment, maybe it's not quite that radical. However, the OS being backed up after installing this huge Acronis beast certainly does become significantly changed from its former state. Actually, I quite like what they've done with their rescue media builder, both *nix- and WinPE-based. The latter especially is very flexible with a 'built-in' simple build option in addition to provisions for downloading, customising and using whatever WAIK package you may prefer. In fact, I kept one of their WinPE builds for my 'multipurpose' rescue media even after I removed the main app installation.

I asked this on DSLReports but didn’t get much details on this so I’m asking here.

This av will chew up cpu and disk bandwidth like crazy when patrolling on my files and links that i visited. This av sometimes detect official software as virus and you need to exclude it before this av breaks your software (the false positive isn't that bad but when it kicks in its pretty hard to stop this av before deleting/quarantine all false detected part of your software as the protection is really really enforced in this av). N.B I'm not saying this av is bad (although the connotation of what i write above is negative about this av), I'm just saying if you're not doing some sketchy stuff or not used by how PCs work(just moved from mac or linux) or most of your software are legitimate software you probably enough with WinDefender.
